The VGA connection, short for Video Graphics Array, is a 15-pin connection used for connections to video cards, and it's most commonly used for PC and laptop outputs. The increase in popularity of newer HDTV units has led to a demand for components that allow computers with VGA outputs to connect with TVs with HDMI inputs. Connecting your older VGA device to a monitor or television with an HDMI input is easy, but it may require some spending on your part.
