Clearing unread emails en masse takes just a few clicks.

On a free email service such as Hotmail, it is not uncommon to receive spam messages that you don't want to read. Some people also forward their emails to other accounts, which are subsequently swamped with spam. Instead of reading through hundreds of unwanted or repeated messages, you can delete the messages while they are "unread." This saves you time when clearing out your Hotmail account.
