The Compaq Presario 6000 is a desktop PC series owned and operated by Hewlett-Packard. If your desktop encounters a severe error that cannot be troubleshooted or removed, you can restore your PC back to its factory settings. HP offers a software called "HP Recovery Manager" that allows you to restore your PC without needing any discs. Typically used as the last troubleshooting option, a factory restore removes all your personal files. Back up your data before performing this task.
