AT&T Messages stores your text and picture messages in the AT&T network so they can be accessed through your Android 2.3.3 or higher, or an LTE smartphone, computer, or Android 3.0.1 or higher tablet. The process is the same whether you're using AT&T Messages to access your text records via smartphone, computer or tablet. AT&T Messages Backup & Sync is part of the messaging app on your AT&T phone that stores your texts in the AT&T cloud, then you can download them to your computer or tablet.

Text Records Using AT&T Messages

Step 1

Log in to AT&T Messages and enter your AT&T user ID and password. If your phone or tablet is a compatible Android device, you can download the AT&T Messages app from Google Play for smartphones or tablets and log in with your AT&T user ID and password.

Step 2

View your text history grouped by conversation for up to 90 days. Texts older than 90 days are removed from the cloud but will remain on your device.

AT&T Messages requires that you have messaging enabled on your account, a monthly data plan, and receipt of a monthly bill to access your texts and images. AT&T Messages is not available for prepaid phones and accounts.
