How to Hook Up a Regent Home Theater System to a TV

By Tyson Cliffton

A Regent home theater system can breathe a little life into a TV with built-in speakers that don't produce very good sound. Alternatively, you can use a Regent home theater system to supplement the sound of your TV's built-in speakers. A Regent home theater system can be hooked up quickly and you can be enjoying surround sound for movies, TV shows, video games and more in no time.

Things You'll Need

  • Standard audio cable

Step 1

Plug the connectors on a standard audio cable into the matching colored jacks on the "AUX INPUT" on the back of the Regent home theater system's main set.

Step 2

Plug the connectors on the other end of the standard audio cable into the corresponding jacks in the Audio Output section or similar section on the TV. Alternatively, if your TV only has a digital audio output or some other type of audio output, you may need an audio cable converter.

Step 3

Turn on both the TV and the Regent home theater system.

Step 4

Press the "INPUT SOURCE" button on the main set or the "SOURCE" button on the remote control that came with the Regent home theater system until the light to the right of "AUX" on the front of the main set lights up. Press the "+" button beneath MASTER on the Regent home theater system remote control to increase the volume of the system.
