How to Invert Video Color Effects

Adobe Premiere is a paid digital video editing application developed by Adobe Systems. Among other features, Adobe Premiere allows you to apply various effects to a video -- including an effect that inverts its color channels. You can apply this effect in Adobe Premiere by selecting it and setting the correct options.

Step 1

Open the "Window" menu and select "Effects" to open the Effects pane.

Type "Invert" in the search box at the top of the Effects pane and press "Enter" on your keyboard.

Step 3

Click on the effect labeled "Invert (video)." Customize the effect by selecting the channel or channels you wish to invert. Click on the check box next to "Blend with original" if you wish to attenuate the effect by blending it with the original footage.

Step 4

Drag the effect to the clip you wish to modify. You can find a list of all the active clips in the Timeline pane.
