Your screen resolution determines how large text and graphics are on your screen. A larger screen resolution allows more items to fit on the screen, but in exchange, the items are smaller. Lower resolutions increase the size of objects, but make them jagged. Your video card and monitor both determine what resolutions your computer is able to support. To make your desktop screen smaller, you need to increase your resolution.
