Comcast is a cable television service provider in the United States. Many Comcast customers receive cable descrambler boxes as part of their cable package. These cable descrambler boxes feature a Comcast-branded universal remote control you can use to control connected audio and video devices. Dynex manufactures and markets a line of flat-screen televisions, and if you have a Dynex television, you can program your Comcast-branded universal remote control to operate the television.
Power on your Dynex television by pressing either the "Power" button on the front of the TV or the "Power" button on the Dynex remote.
Press and release the "TV" button on your Comcast remote control.
Press and hold the "Setup" key on your Comcast remote control. When the "TV" key blinks, release the "Setup" button.
Press the sequence "991" using the remote control's keypad. The TV key blinks after entering this sequence.
Point the remote control at your Dynex television.
Press the "Power" key on the remote control. Wait three seconds and press the "TV" key on your remote control. Repeat this step until your Dynex television turns off, which indicates the correct code was entered.
Press the "Setup" key on the remote control to save the settings for your Dynex television.
