The Comcast Digital Transport Adapter, or DTA, facilitates the connection between your television, VCR or DVD player and your cable wall outlet to provide premium cable channels. Resetting will correct a number of issues including a lost signal, frozen channels or channels that display a blue screen. Once the device is reset, it may take several minutes to refresh and for your display to return.
Step 1
Locate the reset button on your Digital Adapter. The button will be located on the front or back of your device and will be marked "Reset."
Step 2
Press the reset button and hold it for 5 seconds. The display on your DTA box will turn off and come back on to reset.
Step 3
Release the reset button and allow the DTA to restore.
Tip
If your modem does not have a reset button, power cycle the device to reset it. To power cycle, unplug the device for 10 seconds and plug it back into an electrical outlet.
