Music, videos and even photos: The Craig MP3 player is capable of storing and playing all three. The player interfaces with your computer via an included connection cable, so you can load your favorite tunes and other media quickly without the hassle of compact memory cards. Before you can use the Craig MP3 player, you must first charge the player and set the player up to accept media files. The player will automatically configure a playlist of the files.
Charging the Craig MP3 player
Turn on your Craig MP3 player.
Plug the player's Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection cable into the side of the player and into any available USB port on your computer. The wording "Connect" will appear on the display. The player's battery is now charging.
Let the Craig MP3 player charge for 10 hours for the initial charge.
Disconnect the player by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon (two-arrow icon) located by the clock. Click on the player's drive letter. Click "Stop," if using Windows.
Unplug the player from your computer when your computer's speaker dings. If using a Mac, drag the player's icon to the "Trash" icon on your Mac's "Desktop." Unplug the player your Mac.
Loading Media FDiles
Turn on the Craig MP3 player. "Music" will appear on the player's display. Press the right arrow button on the player to select "Setup." Press the "Menu" button. Select "Online Mode" using the arrow button. Press the "Menu" button.
Select "USB Disk." Press the "Menu" button to select the "USB Disk" option. Press and hold the "Menu" button to set the USB option as the method of transferring files to the player. The player will exit from the "Menu" mode after the option is set.
Connect the player to your computer. Your computer will assign the Craig MP3 player a drive letter and an icon.
Click "Start," then "My Computer." Double-click on the Craig MP3 player's icon to open the player's Explorer window. Leave the player's window open. If using a Mac, the player's icon will appear on your Mac's "Desktop." Click on the icon to open the player's window.
Click "Start," then "My Computer." Navigate to the folder containing the media files you want to transfer to your Craig MP3 player. If using a Mac, click on your Mac's "Hard Drive" icon, then navigate to the folder containing your media files.
Click and drag the media file(s) you want to the player's open window. For video files, only files with an ".amv" extension can be transferred into your Craig MP3 player (see the player's manual for more information on ".amv" files).
Disconnect the player once you are done transferring files by completing steps 4 and 5 in the "Charging the Craig MP3 player" section of this article.
You can also load media files onto your Craig MP3 player using Windows Media Player or a similar program. Complete steps 1 through 3 in the “Loading media files” section. Press the arrow button on the player to select “Media Device.” Press the “Menu” button to set the “Media Device” option. Connect the player to your computer. The player will automatically open the media player program. Select the media files to transfer from the program's “Library.” Click “Sync” to transfer the media files to the player.
