Free Download Manager, also known by its abbreviation FDM, is an Internet speed accelerator, which gives you increased speed when downloading something off the Internet. The application has three modes: Light, Medium and Heavy. These modes determine the amount of bandwidth used by FDM. For instance, if you select "Light," the download will take a long time to finish, as FDM will not be using the complete bandwidth. To ensure maximum download speed, your choice should be "Heavy Mode" for maximum usage of bandwidth and shortest download time.
