Google Earth provides users with a zoomable 3-D representation of Earth.

A Google Earth file, a virtual Earth mapping program in Keyhole Markup Language (KML) that has been compressed (zipped), becomes a KMZ file. Users may need to unzip the KMZ to extract three-dimensional architectural meshes for editing with CAD software. KMZ is supported by a wide range of archive unzipping programs, such as 7-Zip, WinRAR and PeaZip.
