One of the most searched categories on Pinterest is "beauty," but the search results haven't been relevant to all people. Well, that's about to change. Pinterest recently announced that the search results will finally show the most relevant hair and makeup Pins for every skin tone, style, and life.

Back in April, Pinterest started testing an inclusive search feature, and since it resonated so well with people, the feature will now launch more broadly. So, if you search for a new hairstyle, you'll be able to search based on your actual hair—not the hair Pinterest assumes you have.

When you perform a search for makeup and hair ideas on iOS, select a palette to narrow your search from the drop down in the upper left corner.

"Searches for terms like 'beauty tips,' 'eyeshadow,' and trends like 'glossy makeup,' stand-out lip colors, or 'going gray,' will now result in more personalized videos and Pins," according to Pinterest. "Each palette represents a range of skin tones, with more to come. The more you search, the more personalized your home feed and recommendations will become."

The new feature will be rolled out over the coming weeks.
