How to Order Free at-Home COVID Tests via USPS

The government is helping make COVID-19 testing a little less hectic. Americans are now able to order free at-home COVID test kits and have them shipped to their homes.


At-home COVID tests have been incredibly difficult to come by due to the highly-contagious omicron variant that made its ugly appearance over the holiday season. The number of people infected hasn't slowed and neither has the demand for at-home tests.

Starting Jan. 18, people can go to to order their free at-home tests or order them directly from U.S. Postal Service (USPS) by visiting


Each residential household is entitled to one set of four free at-home tests. Simply visit the site and enter your contact information, including your name, email, and shipping address. And that's it. No credit card is needed. The tests will begin shipping at the end of January, according to USPS.
