How Do I Download a Video From the BBC Website?

The BBC website is a news website based out of the United Kingdom. The BBC website uses Flash-based videos to provide you with news clips and other video stories. If you want to save a video from the BBC website, you'll have to use a web service that has the ability to recognize Flash web videos and save them to your computer's hard drive.

Step 1

Open your web browser. Click "File" and then "New Window." Keep both of these web browser windows open on screen at the same time.

Use one of the web browser windows to navigate to the video you want to download from the BBC website.

Use the other web browser window to go to FlashVideoDownloader.org, Javimoya.com, or one of the many other sites that allows you to download Flash videos from web pages for free.

Step 4

Copy the URL of the video you want to download from the BBC website into the "Address Bar" on the Flash video download site.

Step 5

Click the "Download" button to download the video from the BBC website to your computer via the Flash video download page.
