Most Web users rely on search engines to find new websites.

Adding your Uniform Resource Locator (URL, or Web address) to search engines is the first step toward getting noticed on the Web. Because many sites receive the majority of their traffic from search engine sources, it will be very hard for your website to gain visitors unless search engine users can find it. You should submit your site to as many search engines as possible to maximize exposure. Many search engines, including AOL Search, contract their results out to larger search engines. Understand how to submit your URL to Google Search so it shows up in AOL Search.
