Among the features of Microsoft's "PowerPoint" presentation software is that it allows you to customize your presentation to specifications you set, in terms of slide background, font style, size and color and any multimedia you want to integrate. If you're not feeling or are simply short on time, however, use one of Microsoft's pre-designed themes to add flair to your presentation without as much work — and, if you choose, apply a theme to only one slide.

Step

Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation. Scroll down to the slide to which you wish to apply a theme. Click the slide to select it.

Step

Click the "Design" tab. Browse prospective themes, which are laid out in the "Background" pane of the design tab.

Step

Right-click the theme you want to apply, then click "Apply to Selected Slides." To change your theme if you later becomes dissatisfied with it, simply right-click another theme and click "Apply to Selected Slides" once again.
