How to Block a Cell Phone Number When Sending a Text Message

Sending a text message from your mobile phone using traditional methods does not allow you to block your phone number. There are ways you can send a text message anonymously to any recipient using websites including TxtEmNow, Text4free and Text Send. Each of these websites allows you to send messages up to 140 characters for free and anonymously. These sites do not require a name, phone number or email address, but they do record the IP address of the computer or device they are sent from.

TxtEmNow

Step 1

Open the TxtEmNow Web page and click enter the recipient's 10-digit mobile phone number.

Step 2

Click the recipient's mobile phone region.

Step 3

Enter the message you would like to send. Your message must be 140 characters or less, including spacing and punctuation.

Step 4

Click "Send the text" to deliver your text message.

Text4free

Step 1

Open the Text4free Web page and enter the recipient's 10-digit mobile phone number.

Step 2

Click the drop-down arrow and select the recipient's mobile phone provider.

Step 3

Enter the message you would like to send. Your message must be 140 characters or fewer, including spacing and punctuation.

Step 4

Click the drop-down arrow to select the number of times you would like the message sent to the recipient.

Step 5

Enter the the text image displayed in Step 5 and click "Send message(s)."

Text-Send

Step 1

Open the Text-Send Web page and enter the recipient's 10-digit mobile phone number.

Step 2

Enter your message. The site does not have a message limit, but it is suggested that you try to stay within 140 characters.

Step 3

Click the recipient's mobile service provider.

Step 4

Enter the characters in the text field and click "Send message."
