U.S. Cellular allows you to block your phone number when making an outgoing call. Blocking your caller ID can be useful if you want to keep your number private. If you don't want the other party to get your phone number, just dial a short code before calling his number. Your phone number will come through as private or restricted on the other line.
Dial "*67" on your phone keypad.
Dial the number you want to call.
Press the "Send" or green phone button on your phone.
Have your caller ID permanently blocked by contacting customer service. Dial "611" from your U.S. Cellular phone, or 888-944-9400 from another phone.
If you have your caller ID blocked permanently, you may run into problems calling people who have anonymous call rejection on their line. Unblock your number by dialing "*82" before dialing their phone number.
