Connect a DVD player to your Samsung TV to output the player's display in high definition using either an HDMI cable or a component cable. Making this connection lets you watch your favorite movies, television programs or any other content you have stored on discs that your DVD player supports. Use an HDMI cable to get the best quality signal from your DVD player to the Samsung TV screen.
