How to Disable the Sony Battery Utility

The Sony Battery Utility, installed on many Sony Vaio and other laptops, creates issues for some users. The utility senses when a non-Sony brand battery is installed. The utility sends the computer into hibernation mode after one minute, even if the power adapter is being used. Many uses find this utility bothersome and seek to disable it. Disabling the utility may affect the Function key operations in some computers, but most users report no negative issues after disabling the utility.
