Websense is a Web protection program designed to prevent access to material (e.g., adult, guns, drugs) deemed questionable by the administrator. Once it has been installed, it launches automatically at computer start-up and blocks access to material placed in its list of categories to block. Due to its blocking strength, it also can prevent access to relevant material (e.g., educational, medical) because of certain keywords. As an administrator, you can disable (turn off) Websense anytime you want and as many times as you want.
Launch Websense. To do so, click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Scroll up and click "Websense." Websense automatically launches.
Type in your administrative password to open the Websense Manager window. Select the server you want to adjust.
Select "Category sets" on the left panel, and select "Never block." Click "Save all" to save the changes. Close Websense. This disables Websense and allows unrestricted access to all websites and material.
Launch your Web browser and browse normally.
