Verizon set-top boxes are susceptible to software errors and operating issues that can scramble or distort the picture displayed on your TV screen. Fortunately, errors and problems with your Verizon FiOS equipment can be quickly resolved thanks to built-in troubleshooting tools. Reset your equipment to fix common errors and problems with your Verizon FiOS TV service without having to rely on a repair technician.
Unplug the power cable from the rear of the Verizon router. The Verizon router delivers the video from your TV to your FiOS set-top box. Wait 15 seconds and plug the cable back into the router. Your router will reset and establish a new connection to the FiOS service.
Perform a reset to your Verizon FiOS set-top box if the video is still scrambled. Unplug the power cord from the set-top box for 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into FiOS set-top box to reset the device. Press the "Power" button when the time reappears on the front of the FiOS set-top box. The interactive menu will appear when the reset is complete.
Contact the Verizon FiOS customer support if the video feed is still not fixed or the set-top box begins to experience performance issues.
