Quickly create an e-card on your Mac.

Sending an e-card is a convenient and special way of communicating to someone via email. With the Leopard version of Mac OSX, you can now send artistic and customized e-cards directly from Mail. E-cards allow you to quickly and easily insert photos, audio files and other media directly into your message. The result is a beautiful and personal presentation that arrives immediately into your recipient's in-box. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make an e-card on your Mac.

Step 1

Open the Mail application on your Mac. Click "New Message" in the top navigation bar.

Step 2

In the new message window, click "Show Stationery" in the upper right corner. Browse through the available e-card stationery templates. There are e-cards for birthdays, announcements, travel photos, sympathy and gratitude. Select the template whose design and layout appeals to you.

Step 3

Click on your chosen template. It should now appear in the "New Message" window. Click on the text in the template and edit it to suit your needs.

Step 4

Once you have customized your e-card, enter the email address of your recipient and input a subject for your message. Click the "Send" button. Your recipient will receive the e-card exactly as you designed it.

You can also download additional stationery template packs to find out that works perfectly for your occasion. See Resources for details.
