How to Program My DirecTV Remote to a Receiver

By Robert Ceville

You have to program a DirecTV remote control to your receiver to be able to access all of its functions from a distance. DirecTV offers satellite television service to its subscribers by transmitting a signal from space to a user's satellite dish. The remote control's buttons are used to access all of the receiver's menu options. The remote can even be programmed to control a television set or auxiliary devices, such as stereo receivers or DVD players. Program your DirecTV remote to your receiver in under two minutes.
