OneNote is electronic notebook software distributed in the Microsoft Office suite. A major feature of Microsoft OneNote software is collaboration: OneNote allows sharing between multiple computers and users. OneNote 2010 does not have the ability to limit read and write permissions. However, OneNote tracks the changes that are made to the notebook and highlights all changes made. OneNote 2007 and 2003 users can limit the sharing permission to read only. This prohibits editing of the notebook.
