The iPhone stores all of its contact information directly onto the phone rather than onto a SIM card. If you have information for some contacts stored on a SIM card from another phone, you can quickly save those SIM card contacts to your iPhone with just a few taps on your screen.

Step 1

Use a paperclip to push down on the SIM card tray release button on the top of your iPhone and pop out your current SIM card.

Step 2

Remove the current SIM card and insert the SIM card your contact information is stored on into the tray. Place the tray back in your phone.

Step 3

Press the "Settings" button on your iPhone's home screen and then select "Mail, Contacts, calenders" from the list that appears.

Step 4

Scroll down to the contacts portion of the list and press the button marked "Import SIM Contacts" in order to import the contacts off your SIM card. Your phone will display a message indicating it is importing SIM contacts. Once that message disappears you should be able to find your SIM contacts in your contact list on your iPhone with all of your other contacts.

Step 5

Remove the SIM card you were using to get contact information.
