The Panasonic Toughbook laptops are made with sturdier materials for users who take their computers out of the home or office and onto job sites. The rotation tool allows users to change how they view the screen while using the computer.

Function

The rotation tool on Panasonic Toughbook computers allows you to change the orientation of the screen in 90-degree increments. Changing the screen orientation allows the user to better view some websites and, when using Toughbook models that double as a tablet PC, the rotation tool changes the screen orientation so you properly use the tablet feature.

Operation

A dedicated button was designed for controlling the rotation tool on Panasonic Toughbooks. The button is located on the front of the computer. Each press of the button changes the screen orientation by 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Problems

Rotating the screen can interfere with video or audio playback; rotating the screen back to its original position will often correct the problem. The screen may not rotate, or the onscreen buttons that control your opened applications may not rotate with the rest of the screen. When this occurs, shut down all of the applications you are using, rotate the screen orientation to where you want it and then reopen the applications.
