Upload videos to the Internet with your desktop computer.

Facebook is a social networking website that allows you to share events, knowledge, images and videos with your online friends. These videos upload directly from your home computer and, once posted, are available for all shared users to see. However, if you find the upload process is taking too long, there are a few methods of speeding the upload process of your online video.

Step 1

Stay in the Facebook page while the video uploads. Clicking out of the page into a different Internet tab or browser window often causes the video upload to stall and occasionally fail.

Step 2

Close out other Internet-based programs, such as email providers and instant messengers. These take away bandwidth connection speeds from the video upload, causing the video to upload slower.

Step 3

Upload the videos with a computer using a high-speed Internet connection. Dial-up is far too slow to upload the video files with.

Step 4

Type in the title and description of the video while it uploads to Facebook. This saves time by performing both tasks at the same time. Once the upload has finished you may immediately submit the information instead of waiting to type the data in after the upload process has completed.

Step 5

Upload smaller videos. The smaller the video file the quicker it is going to upload onto the website.
