To get rid of the watermark, you will have to edit the registry.

When opening a PDF document in PaperPort 11, you may find that the PDF displays a "DocuCom PDF Trial" watermark. In order to resolve this issue, you must edit the Windows registry and reinstall Paperport.

Edit the Registry

Close PaperPort.

Click "Start," type "regedit," and press "Enter."

Click the "+" sign next to the following items in the left pane of the Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software

Right-click the "ScanSoft" key and select "Permissions."

Uninstall and Reinstall PaperPort

Step 1

Click "Start," type "programs and features" and press "Enter."

Select PaperPort from the list of installed options and click the "Uninstall" button. Follow the prompts to finish uninstalling the software.

Download the PaperPort removal tool and save the file to your desktop.

Right-click the file and choose "Extract here" to extract the files. A new folder named "Remover" will appear on your desktop.

Open the "Remover" folder and double-click "Remover.exe."
