How to Activate Samsung Phones
When you order a new Samsung phone online, either as a new line of service or as an upgrade to an existing account, you must activate the new phone through the service provider before you can begin making and receiving phone calls. Activation is a simple process and carriers allow you to activate online or by calling their customer service line.
Activate With AT&T
Install your SIM card into the cell phone and place the phone on the charger for eight hours.
Press and hold the "End" key to turn on the device.
Enter a phone number on the dial pad and press the "Send" key to place a test call. If the call works, the device is active and requires no further steps.
Call 866-895-1099 from a phone other than your cell phone. When prompted, provide your wireless phone number, billing ZIP code and Social Security number. Follow the prompts to complete your activation and end the call.
