If you have a phone with a display screen that supports caller ID, and AT&T phone service, you can set it up over the phone. This can be done in a matter of minutes and you will be charged a monthly fee for the service.

Contact an AT&T customer service representative by calling 1-800-331-0500. You will be put in touch with an automated system.

Select the option to speak with a customer service representative.

Ask about adding caller ID to your home phone. AT&T offers plans that come with multiple features, such as three-way calling, and it may be more beneficial to add a whole plan with various features, including caller ID, than simply adding caller ID.
Step 4
Select the plan or the caller ID option and confirm the purchase. Caller ID will be added and you will be charged a monthly fee for the feature.
