How to Burn a Dual Layer DVD to a Single Layer Disc

DVDs are a useful means of storage, particularly in the case of DVD video files. When a DVD is structured correctly, with the right types of video files, it can be played in a standard DVD player. When this structure is followed, it means that it is possible to create your own playable DVDs. However, DVDs that are typically created by the average consumer are single layer discs, with a capacity of 4.7 GB. This is an insufficient amount of space to copy a dual layer DVD. Fortunately, it is possible to compress a dual layer DVD to fit on to a single layer DVD.
