You've put in hours of work creating a presentation using Corel Presentations only to find out that the place you're presenting can only accept PowerPoint files, so now need to convert your SHW file into a PPT file type. PowerPoint doesn't support Corel files, but two ways exist to convert the file to work within PowerPoint. First, you can save the file as a PowerPoint presentation from the Corel Presentation software. Alternatively, you can save the slides as images using PowerPoint and then import the images into a PowerPoint presentation. If you use the second method you won't be able to edit the slides, but you can still give your presentation.
Corel Presentations
Step 1
Open the SHW file in Presentations.

Step 2
Click on the "File" menu and then click "Save As." Choose "MS PowerPoint" from the "File Type" drop-down menu. Type in a file name and click "Save."
Step 3
Open the file with PowerPoint. Some of the animation and formatting may be lost in the conversion process.
PowerPoint
Step 1
Click on the "File" tab in PowerPoint and then click "Open." Browse to the Corel Presentations SHW file and double-click on it. Note that PowerPoint can open the Corel file for viewing, but not for editing or presenting.
Step 2
Click on the "File" tab again and then click "Save As." Click "Other Formats." Choose "JPEG File Interchange Format (*.JPG)" from the "File Type" drop-down menu. Type in a name for the file. This will create an image for the first slide in the Corel slide show. Repeat this process for all the slides in the presentation.
Step 3
Open a new, blank presentation in PowerPoint. Click on the "Insert" tab and then click "Picture." Browse to the location of the JPG images you saved from the SHW file. Double-click on the first one in the list. Re-size the picture to fill the slide by clicking and dragging the handles on the corners of the image. Repeat this process for all the images you saved.
