Your iPhone features compatibility with Bluetooth audio devices such as headphones and speakers. You can use these Bluetooth audio devices to listen to music on your iPhone. As with all Bluetooth devices, the first time you connect your iPhone to a Bluetooth audio device you will need to complete a type of setup known as an initial pairing process.

Step 1

Press and hold the pairing button on your Bluetooth audio device. Wait for the pairing indicator light to start flashing. Release the pairing button.

Tap the "Settings" button on your iPhone.

Select the "General" option.

Step 4

Tap "Bluetooth" and move the Bluetooth switch to the "ON" position.

Step 5

Select the Bluetooth audio device you want to connect.

Enter "0000" after your iPhone requests that you enter a passcode to connect to the Bluetooth device.

Wait for your iPhone to confirm a successful Bluetooth connection.

Step 8

Press the Home button on your iPhone.

Step 9

Tap the iPod icon and select the music you want to play. The music files automatically play through the Bluetooth audio device.
