How to Make an MP3 Album You Can Email

By Shawn Farner

One of the benefits of music in a digital file format, including MP3, is the ability to share a song with a friend via email. If you want to share an entire album, however, attaching multiple song files to one email can be a tedious process. Fortunately, Windows has a built-in feature that can create ZIP file archives out of multiple files. Using this feature, you can combine multiple MP3 files into one ZIP album.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button and select "Computer."

Step 2

Navigate to the location your MP3 files are stored on your hard drive.

Step 3

Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click the songs you would like to add to your ZIP file album individually. Each one is highlighted when selected.

Step 4

Right-click one of the selected files, hover over the "Send to" option and select "Compressed (zipped) folder." A new ZIP file will be created with the name of one of the MP3 files you included. You can change the name by clicking on it, typing a new one and pressing the Enter key.

Step 5

Open your email application, compose a message and attach the ZIP file you created to the email. Click "Send." When your recipient receives your email, they will also receive the ZIP album file containing the multiple songs you selected.
