The Sharp LCD remote control is prone to dirt and other contaminants getting inside the case, causing the buttons to stick. The Sharp's LCD remote must be disassembled in order to clean the inside of the case as well as the electronic components. The procedure requires the use of common household tools and will not damage the remote's operation capabilities in any way.
Hold the Sharp LCD remote with the back facing up. Remove the battery compartment lid from the back with your fingers. Remove the batteries. Turn the remote over.
