How to Organize Channels on a Sony Bravia Auto Program

By Chris Waller

The Sony company is known for producing electronic equipment ranging from televisions to DVD players to video game consoles. If you have a Sony Bravia LCD television as part of your home entertainment system, you can use many different components and watch cable television using this device. Using the auto program feature of the Sony Bravia, you can automatically save the channels that you subscribe to, saving you time while you flip through the channels. You can also save certain channels as favorites to pull them up quickly when you sit down to relax.

Step 1

Turn on your Sony Bravia using the "Power" button on the remote control. Wait for the television to turn on, then press the "Menu" button located near the center navigation buttons. This will bring up the menu that will allow you to change several options on your television. Use the navigation buttons to move down to the "Channel" option and press the center button. The auto program will begin and will search through all of the channels, saving those that you get as part of your cable service and removing those you do not from the channels memory. When the auto program is finished, you will return to the channel menu.

Step 3

Navigate up to the "Favorites" option and hit the center button. You will see a menu of the channels that were programmed by your auto program. You can organize your favorites by moving through the list and pressing the center button to save a channel to your favorites. When finished adding favorites, push the "OK" button to go back to the channel menu.

Step 4

Navigate down to the "Show/Hide" channels option. Hit the center button and you will see a list of all of your channels again. Move through the list by using the up and down navigation buttons and press the center button to remove a channel. When finished, press the "OK" button to return to the channel menu.

Step 5

Navigate to the "Label channels" option. You will then see a list of your channels. Move to the channel you want to label and press the center button. Press the up and down navigation buttons to change the letter. Press the right button to move to the next spot in the name. When finished entering a name, press the center button to return to the channel list. Repeat the process for each channel you want to name.
