How to Program a Time Warner Cable Remote for a Sharp LCD TV
Your Time Warner Cable remote control can be used with electronic devices other than the cable box. The remote can also control a Sharp LCD TV. This will give you the option of putting the Sharp LCD TV's remote away and only using the Time Warner Cable remote for your cable box and television set. Before you can use the Time Warner remote with any Sharp TV, you must first program that remote with the television.
Turn the Sharp LCD TV on.
Point the Time Warner Cable remote at the Sharp TV. Continue doing so throughout this entire process.
Press and hold the “TV” button on the Time Warner remote. Hold the button down for roughly four seconds and the light on the remote will turn on.
Enter one of the Sharp codes using the Time Warner remote. According to the manual, the codes 014, 081, 028, 019, 004, 081, 143, 022, 029, 236, 175 and 251 can be used for Sharp TVs.
Press the “TV” button on the Time Warner remote once more. Doing so will save the code.
Test the Time Warner remote by pressing the other buttons on the remote. If the remote does not work with the Sharp remote, restart the entire process and try a different code.
