How to Reset My Email Password

Sites like Yahoo, Windows Live and AOL will offer an email address to anybody that wants one. If you have several email accounts and can’t remember the password to one of them, you can reset the password through your email account’s online portal. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you will be back into your email program and can see what you’ve missed.

Changing your email password is easy with a few simple steps.

Yahoo

Step

Go to the Yahoo homepage and click on the “Sign In” tab at the top of the window.

Step

Click on the “I Can’t Access My Account” tab in the next window under the password box.

Step

Click on the “I Forgot My Password” tab and then click “Next.” Enter your Yahoo ID into the next box and then enter the code at the bottom of the page.

Step

Answer the two security questions that you answered when you signed up for the account and press the “Next” button.

Step

Reset your password with a new one.

Windows Live

Step

Go to the Windows Live website and click on the “Forgot Your Password” tab.

Step

Enter your Windows Live ID into the box and then type the code at the bottom of the screen.

Step

Click on the “Continue” button.

Step

Log into the alternate email account that you set up when you signed up for your account.

Step

Click on the link that Windows Live emailed you and reset your password through the online portal.

AOL

Step

Go to the AOL homepage and click on the “Forgot Password” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step

Enter your username or your email address into the box. Enter the code into the box.

Step

Click on the “OK” tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step

Answer the account security question that you set up when you signed up for your account.

Step

Type your new password into the box and then retype it into the box under it. Click the “Next” button and then click “Continue.”
