Samsung cell phones follow the same voicemail system as do most cellular devices.

Checking the voicemail of your Samsung cell phone is relatively simple. The same process applies to most cellular devices in general. The most important thing is, when you purchase your phone, set up your voicemail options and write them down so that you do not forget how to check your messages later on. There are two models of checking your voice messages that you can follow.

Step 1

Set up your phone for an easy speed dial voicemail check. This means that when you first purchase your Samsung cell phone, you will need to program the voicemail to be checked by speed dial. Many phones, Samsung included, already come with this option, and the speed dial is the number "1." Hold down the "1" key until you hear the voicemail operator.

Step 2

Enter your personalized passcode to enter your voicemail account. In setting up your phone, you have the option to forgo this passcode if you are accessing your voicemail from your cellular device. If you choose to keep the passcode, make sure to choose a number combination that you can remember. Depending on your service provider, this number could be anywhere from four to 10 digits.

Step 3

Listen to your messages. You will have successfully accessed your voice mailbox at this point, and your automated voicemail operator will tell you how many new and saved messages you have. After listening, you will be given the options of saving, repeating or deleting your voicemail messages.

Enter your personalized passcode. You must have your passcode memorized or on hand, otherwise you will not be able to access your messages from another phone.
