How to Send a Video Text Message. Sending video text messages is a great way to communicate with your friends and family members and send them videos that you shoot with your cell phone. In order to send a video text message, you need to have a cell phone that has video capabilities. Sending a video text message is fairly easy if you're familiar with the basic functions of your phone. Once you learn how to send video text messages, you'll be able to better communicate with the ones you love.

Step 1

Locate the video that you want to send. Go to the "Main Menu" on your phone and find the "Video Text Message" button, and click on it. Then click on "Send New Video." Navigate through your list of videos to determine which video you want to send and click on it.

Click on the "Send Message" button in your main menu and type in the email address or phone number of the person you want to send the video text message to. If this person is listed in your phone contact list, you may navigate your way through your contact list and click on that person. Keep in mind that in order for that person to be able to view the video text message, they have to have a cell phone that is video enabled.

Create a caption and subject line for your video. Most phone types allow you to do this. Type your caption and subject line, and when you're finished click on "Send Message."

Check for the message that alerts you the video text message has been sent. Once you've clicked on "Send Message," your phone should show you a message that confirms that your message has been sent.
