Net10 is a company that offers prepaid cell phone services. Net10 service comes with many of the standard features found in other cell phone service plans, including caller ID and voice mail. However, although the Caller ID is automatically set up, the voice mail will require you to to set it up yourself in order for it to work. There are three different ways in which you can do this, but each method is simple and straightforward and can be done by completing just a few steps.
Go to Net10.com. Look at the top navigation bar for the link that says "Service and Support" and click this link.
Click on the "Voice mail" option from the drop-down menu that appeared when you clicked on the "Service and Support" link.
Enter the serial number of your phone and your phone number into the appropriate fields on the next page. If you are unsure of your phone's serial number, click on the question-mark icon next to the serial-number field and you will be given instructions on how to find the serial number on your phone. Click the "Continue" button after you enter the serial number and phone number.
Follow the instructions that Net10 will give you next to confirm the setup, and the process will be complete. You may also change the options at this point, like recording a personal greeting or changing your PIN number.
Go to voice mail by pressing and holding down the number "1" on your phone.
Press the "*" button on your phone when you hear the default recorded message. Enter your temporary PIN number. This should be the last four digits of your phone number.
Follow the instructions that Net10 will give you next to confirm the setup, and the process will be complete. You can now change the options, such as recording a personal greeting or changing your PIN number.
Call your cell phone number and wait for the voice mail to pick up. This usually occurs after the fourth or fifth ring.
Press the "*" button to bypass the message and get to the main menu options of the voice mail setup. This will work even if the message states that there is no voice mail set up yet.
Enter your temporary PIN number. This should be the last four digits of your phone number.
Follow the instructions that Net10 will give you next to confirm the setup. When the process is complete, you will be able to change the greeting and your PIN number.
If you decide to change the PIN number of your voicemail, make sure you pick a number that is easy to remember.
If you check your voicemail directly from your cell phone, you will be charged for those minutes.
