Skype, as an instant messenger program, provides a fast and stable online communication method for people around the world. You can easily dial the numbers from your contact list with a simple click. Moreover, if you want to have a meeting with several other people or have family time while you are out for business, Skype provides a feature called Group Chat that allows up to 25 people to communicate at the same time. The method for setting up Group Chat varies slightly depending on if you are using Skype on a desktop or not.
Start a Group Chat With the Skype App
Click the "Group Chat" icon.
Right-click the people you want to start a Group Chat with in the "Add participants" section.
Type your messages in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Your instant messages will now be sent to all the people you selected. Click the camera icon to start the Group Chat video if you prefer.
Start a Group Chat With Skype Desktop
Choose "Create New Group..." in the Contacts section. Alternatively, press "Ctrl+N."
Click the "Add People" icon and choose the contacts that you want to have a Group Chat with from the drop-down list.
Type your message in the bar at the bottom of the screen to begin your chat. It will be sent to all the people you added. If you want, you can click the camera icon to start a Group Chat video.
