Capturing a shot of your text messages (or any other image displayed on your phone screen) is typically done with a specific phone application. Depending on what type of phone you have, you may need to download a different application. Once installed, the screen capture applications are varied but self-explanatory. Simply select the feature from your phone and use it while the desired text message is displayed. The iPhone is an exception, requiring a tricky procedure that many people are unfamiliar with.

Upgrade your iPhone to Filmware 2.0 if you are still using the iPhone OS. If you have the iPhone 3G, your phone already has the capture feature built in.
On the text message screen you wish to capture, press and hold the "Home" key that is located at the bottom of your iPhone (off the touch screen).
While continuing to hold the "Home" key, press the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top of the phone to capture the screenshot. The screen will flash to let you know the capture has been made, and the screenshot with your picture will be saved.
Download the Screen Capture application from the Developers' Toolkit on your phone. You can also visit www.virtualviews.com and www.warelex.com if you don't mind paying for the feature.
