If your US Cellular Samsung phone isn't ringing when calls come in, it's probably set to silent mode. Silent mode is useful when you are in a situation where your phone's ringer would be a distraction or inconvenience. Watching a movie or attending a work meeting are two situations that you might need silent mode for. However, if you leave your phone in silent mode after that, you won't know when you receive a call unless you are looking at the Samsung phone. At this point, turn the ringer back on.
Click "Settings" on your Samsung phone's home screen.
Click "Sounds and Display" in the Settings menu.
Click "Silent mode" to disable the silent setting on your Samsung phone.
You can also use the volume keys to enable the Samsung phone’s ringer. Just press the volume up button on the side of the phone until you see the Ringer icon on the phone’s screen change to a blaring speaker.
U.S. Cellular sells several types of Samsung phones and the models available depend on your service area. Check your phone’s user manual for information specific to your phone model.
