A laptop webcam is easy to enable.

Some Lenovo Thinkpad model laptops come with a built-in webcam mounted over the top of the LCD screen. Because there is no physical power switch on the webcam, you need to enable it from your computer's desktop. There's no reason to let this intimidate you, because it doesn't require much technical knowledge. As long as you can operate a mouse, you should be able to activate your Thinkpad webcam; and it won't take any more than a minute of your time.
