The Nokia 3310, aka the original mobile phone, is coming back and not in an ironic way. Nokia is releasing the iconic phone in 3G, because life without Snake just isn't life at all.
While most people are getting ready for the iPhone 8, others are anxiously waiting for the classic Nokia phone to reenter their lives. Because there's nothing wrong with a healthy dose of mobile phone nostalgia.
Australia will be the very first market to get the phone starting on October 16th with a global rollout to follow. It comes in four colors: Yellow, Warm Red, Azure and Charcoal. It retails for for $80.95, which if you're keeping track, doesn't even cover the tax on the iPhone X — just to put things into perspective.
The reimagined phone looks strikingly similar to the original, but with a 2.4-inch polarized color and curved screen, which makes for better readability in sunlight. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and LED flash and 16 MB storage with 32GB supported MicroSD card. The phone has up to 6.5 hours of talk time and up to a month of standby time.
And of course, it wouldn't be the Nokia 3310 without that iconic ringtone. You know the one.
And last, but most definitely not least, the legendary Snake game got an update, so now it looks way better on the color screen.
