How to Create a Text Group on an iPhone

On the Apple iPhone, mass text messages allow you to convey one message to multiple friends and family members in your contacts list simultaneously. If you need to text the same message to a lot of people, creating a group text on an iPhone will save you time and frustration.

Step 1

Open the "Messages" application.

Tap the "Compose" button at the top, right of the toolbar. The "New Message" composition page will open.

Step 3

Tap the blue "+" at the far right of the "To" field. Your contacts list will load.


Step 4

Scroll through the list and tap a contact to select it. This action will take you back to the "New Message" composition page.

Step 5

Tap the "+" of the "To" field again. Select another contact from the list. Repeat this process until you have added the entire group of contacts you want to text.



Step 6

Tap inside of the text message field.

Step 7

Compose the text message.

Step 8

Tap the "Send" button to complete the process and send the message.
