Voicemail services through CenturyLink, which used to be CenturyTel and Embarq, are easy to use if you know how. After your services have been set up through your phone line, changing the voicemail settings requires only that you log into your online account and look in the right places. You can change the number of times your phone rings before voicemail takes over in a matter of minutes.
Log in to your CenturyLink account (see link in Resources). If you don't have an account yet, choose to "Create New Account" and follow the prompts to do so.
Select "My Services" from your account page.
Click on "View Voice Services," then "Manage Your Voicemail..."
Click on "Rings" and select the number of rings that will sound before voicemail picks up. Hit "Done."
